Installation

Install DevSnip Pro from VS Code, the Marketplace, the command line or a .vsix file.

Requirements

  • VS Code 1.93 or later on Windows, macOS or Linux.
  • Nothing else: every database driver and tool ships with the extension.
  • Remote (SSH, containers) and WSL work, except the OpenCode hub, which needs a local process. vscode.dev is not supported because several tools use Node APIs.

Option 1 β€” from the Extensions view

  1. Open the Extensions view with Ctrl/Cmd+Shift+X.
  2. Search for DevSnip Pro.
  3. Click Install. The DevSnip Pro icon appears in the Activity Bar.

Option 2 β€” from the command line

With the code command on your PATH (in VS Code, run Shell Command: Install β€˜code’ command in PATH on macOS):

Terminal
code --install-extension sayaib.hue-console

Option 3 β€” from the Marketplace website

Open the Marketplace page and click Install; your browser hands it to VS Code.

Option 4 β€” offline, from a .vsix file

  1. Download the .vsix file on a machine with internet access (from the Marketplace page, Version History).
  2. In VS Code, open the Extensions view, click β‹― and choose Install from VSIX…, or run the command below.
Terminal
code --install-extension hue-console-<version>.vsix

Updating and uninstalling

  • VS Code updates DevSnip Pro automatically. After an update, run DevSnip Pro: What’s New for the release notes.
  • To uninstall, click Uninstall on the extension in the Extensions view, or run the command below.
Terminal
code --uninstall-extension sayaib.hue-console
