Privacy: your code never leaves your machine

Everything runs locally. The only network traffic is the requests and connections you make yourself.

No backend, no account

Requests go only to the URLs and databases you enter.

Secrets stay put

API keys aren’t written to history, credential-looking URL values are redacted, and connection strings live in your OS keychain.

Anonymous analytics only

Which tools you open and use, plus a daily “active” ping. Never code, file names, paths, URLs or anything you type.

You’re in control

Nothing is sent unless VS Code telemetry is on. Set devsnip.analytics.enabled to false to opt out.

The full list of analytics events is in docs/ANALYTICS.md.

Try it in your editor

Free, no account, runs locally. Requires VS Code 1.93+ on Windows, macOS or Linux.
