First steps

Open the sidebar, send a request and connect a database in about a minute.

  1. Click the DevSnip Pro icon in the Activity Bar to open the Tools sidebar.
  2. Open REST API Client from the sidebar.
  3. Click Send a sample request, or paste any URL or cURL command into the URL bar and press Enter.
  4. Open the Database Client, fill in host, user and password (or paste a connection string such as postgresql://user:pass@localhost:5432/app), press Test connection, then Save & connect.

Three ways to open any tool

  • Tools sidebar: click the Activity Bar icon and pick a tool, or search for one.
  • Command Palette: press Ctrl/Cmd+Shift+P and type DevSnip Pro: to list every command.
  • Right-click: editor and Explorer context menus offer the tools that fit the selection or file, such as Insert Debug Log or Open in CSV & Excel Viewer.
